The Interfaith Council is an advisory group with broad representation from a diverse group of faith communities in Evansville. Habitat for Humanity of Evansville strives for representation on the Interfaith Council from all major Christian and non-Christian faiths. Council members serve as advocates for the Habitat ministry and work to make simple, decent and affordable housing for all people a matter of conscience and action.

Responsibilities

•  Encourage prayer, volunteerism and financial support of the Habitat ministry in respective faith communities and in the community at large.
• Assist in the planning, marketing and implementation of the annual Ministerial Breakfast, Building on Faith observance and other activities that enhance Habitat’s faith relations program.
• Promote an attitude of mutual respect and appreciation for all faith traditions.
